About Me
I'm from Seattle WA where I lived before coming to school here in NYC. I swim and play spike ball in the summers and ski and snowboard in the winter. I also love to cook, bake and mix cocktails. I work to maintain a fine arts practice of exploring photography as well as glassblowing.
As a designer, I am fascinated with the why of creative decisions and applying the outcomes to my work, such as: Why is the color red used in so many logos? I love to look at the design of other creatives, as well as my own, through the lens of psychology. I look at design as a puzzle with the process and research leading to not only a well-crafted design, but a better understanding of why it works so well.
Throughout my experience as a designer, almost all of my favorite projects have been collaborative. When working with a group, I value the individual specializations that others can bring to a project. I enjoy the process of combining and directing each person’s strength to create an excellent outcome.
